"Nice clean motel. The interior of our room seemed really new. We were coming in late from rapid city and when I called, I got voice-mail but I left a message and the owner called me right back and set me up with a room. The passcode lock on the door was awesome. I was very happy to find I could access the laundry. I had run to the IGA to get detergent but they did have pods available for 50 cents. My only tiny complaint was that the bed was pretty hard. I still slept great though and this place was so much better than some of the other chain motels we have stayed at on our road trip. I highly recommend staying here."

"We absolutely loved this place. You enter in a pass code to get into your room, which was awesome, because we got in so late. We had been on the rode for awhile and there was a coin operated washer and dyer for us to use! The room was big, clean and the beds were comfortable. Nice cute town and folks were really friendly. There us even a grill (like the one you find in parks and campgrounds) for people to use. We wished we could have stayed more then one night!"

"On a recent road trip from Omaha, Nebraska to Great Falls, Montana my brother and I decided to take the back roads instead of the main interstates. We were about halfway between Rapid City and Billings on US 212 when we realized that it would be dark within an hour or two. It was therefore time to find a place to stop for the night. Unless you have a battering ram attached to the front of your vehicle, driving at night in Montana is highly inadvisable due to the plethora of suicidal wildlife. Fortunately, we saw that somewhere called Broadus, Montana was blessed with a little hotel that actually had decent ratings.__A quick word about Broadus itself. Apparently it's one of those tiny Montana towns that has hovered around the 400-500 population mark for at least the last 120 years. For the present-day traveller Broadus features two or three eateries (calling some of them restaurants might be a stretch), a couple of gas stations and even a tiny IGA grocey store. If you choose to take a morning walk in the fresh air as I did, you'll notice two things: First, the town is as quiet as a mouse, and second, the streets are unusually, and I do mean unusually, wide. Our should I say... broad? It almost seems like someone once had grand plans for Broadus but the town remained more or less frozen in time. One certainly gets the impression that this is a place where change happens glacially, if at all (this is not necessarily a bad thing, depending on your perspective).__But I digress. The main reason you are going to stop in Broadus is because it has, quite frankly, the only hotel worth mentioning on the US 212 route between Rapid City and Billings, that being the Sagebrush Inn. This is not hyperbole. I vaguely remember seeing one or two other hotels on this route, but they looked like ratholes. Fortunately, the Sagebrush is definitely NOT a rathole. In fact it is nothing less than an oasis of modernity smack dab in the middle of the town that time forgot. Wifi? Check. Electronic door lock? Check. Coin-op washer/dryer? Check. Guest office with fax and phone? Check. Comfortable and clean beds and furniture? Check. Fastidious housekeeping? Check. Well appointed common room with free ice, free coffee, and complimentary breakfast items (bagel and drink)? Check.__And oh yes. The price. The price is definitely well on this side of reasonable. Just keep in mind that they don't actually have a person on staff here. All reservations and inquiries are performed by phone.__The only downside I can really mention is that the walls didn't seem to have good sound insulation, but that turned out ok because our neighbors (a couple of guys on a hunting trip) tucked in early.__5/5 stars not only for the hotel but for the planets that must have aligned to put it there. It's a godsend for a weary traveler. It definitely exceeded my expectations, which is a good thing since it's pretty much the only option available."

"Lovely place! Clean, nice folks, hit coffee, ice and a deep sleep. MUCH more affordable than what we found in Miles City, which we quickly departed from and choose here instead."
